Development Update

Currently, CCHS has one project under construction in George, WA and two under development. CCHS recently completed two projects, Reino del Cielo in Royal City, WA and Blessed Kateri Village in Wapato, WA in 2009. Both developments are 51 units of rental housing for Agricultural Worker families and include a manager’s unit, a community room with a computer lab, children’s play areas, site fencing, night lighting and full landscaping amenities. Rents are set at or below 50% of the Area Median Income for Grant and Yakima Counties.

CCHS has partnered with Enterprise Community Partners Inc. (Royal City) and Key Bank Corporation (Wapato) as tax credit investors and developers Beacon Development Group (Wapato) and the Office of Rural and Farmworker Housing (Royal City) on these much needed developments.

Projects under development are Prosser Family Housing in Prosser, WA and Yakima Senior Housing in Yakima, WA. Prosser Family Housing will be 51 units of rental housing for low income and Agricultural Worker families. Yakima Senior Housing will be 40 units of rental housing for low income seniors.
